The League of Legends 2024 Mid-Season Invitational Bracket Stage has begun with everything on the line for the remaining 8 teams. This stage will include a single Bo5 double-elimination format so we can expect a banger series from the get-go.
With that being said, we will be taking a look at the second Bo5 series between the LEC first seed- G2 Esports as they will face the PCS first seed- PSG Talon.
Although most fans and analysts predict the LPL and LCK to dominate the tournament, a recent interview with the top laner for TES, 369, stated how much the Western players have improved in comparison to their last year's performance.

MSI 2024: Game 2 G2 vs PSG 2-0
G2 | Role | PSG |
BrokenBlade | TOP | Azhi |
Yike | JNG | Junjia |
Caps | MID | Maple |
Hans Sama | BOT | Betty |

An exciting game two as Mikyx was able to bait PSG in a river skirmish, ultimately securing 4 kills for G2 as PSG got absolutely smashed. The LEC first seed was able to play off that momentum and further push PSG into a corner, ultimately denying any comeback possibility.
As G2 continued their onslaught, suffocating the PCS first seed, all hope seemed lost. Caps' LeBlanc and Mikyx' Poppy were able to lock down crucial players, ultimately resulting in a brutal stomp as G2 secured their second win in the series.
MSI 2024: Game 3 G2 vs PSG 3-0
PSG | Role | G2 |
Azhi | TOP | BrokenBlade |
Junjia | JNG | Yike |
Maple | MID | Caps |
Betty | BOT | Hans Sama |
Woody | SUP | Mikyx |
A very messy start to game 3 as both teams were dancing around, trying to figure out the macro play as G2 was able to catch Azhi and secure first blood. An amazing 1v2 in the mid lane as Caps outplayed PSG and got himself a kill onto Maple.
Although PSG was able to suffocate Vayne out of CS and experience, G2 was able to secure some minor advantages and further punish the PCS team. The LEC first seed seemed unstoppable as they were able to win almost every team fight, showing a remarkable performance and winning in a clean 3-0 sweep.
