The League of Legends 2024 Mid-Season Invitational Bracket Stage has begun with everything on the line for the remaining 8 teams. This stage will include a single Bo5 double-elimination format so we can expect a banger series from the get-go.
With that being said, we will be taking a look at the second Bo5 series between the LCK first seed- Gen.G as they will face the LPL second seed- Top Esports.
Although most fans and analysts predict the LPL and LCK to dominate the tournament, a recent interview with the top laner for TES, 369, stated how much the Western players have improved in comparison to their last year's performance.

GEN absolutely dominated TES in the first game of the series as they incredibly outplayed and surprised TES no matter what they attempted. The LCK first seed did not let up as they snowballed quite fiercely without giving the LPL team any breathing room.

This time around GEN heavily punished TES' overaggression as both teams were trying their hardest to get the upper hand in the series. After GEN masterfully outmaneuvered TES and claimed the Baron buff, Chovy came in with a fantastic ultimate, allowing the LCK team to get 3 more kills.
An amazing performance by GEN as they ruthlessly crushed TES, moving ever so closer to a clean sweep.

TES secured first blood in an early skirmish as Canyon underestimated the LPL jungle mid-duo. With the TES pushed into a corner, Creme and JackeyLove were able to rise up and deny GEN from snowballing to another victory.
After some very clutch fights, TES was able to strike back and win their first game in the series.

After an uneventful early game, TES blew open the series, leading GEN to a lot of preventable mistakes and ultimately steamrolling into a 3k gold lead. After some desperate attempts from GEN to revitalize their presence in the game, TES denied them at every stop, claiming Baron.
Following a risky dragon fight, TES destroyed the GEN roster, leading the series to silver scrapes.

A rocky start as TES was able to dive Kiin and secure first blood JackeyLove. A big misplay by Canyon as he fell deep into enemy lines.
A fantastic fight by GEN allowed them to further snowball their lead in the game as Chovy and Canyon led the way to a successful team fight. Despite all odds, GEN was able to break their international curse and won the Bo5 against TES. A phenomenal series, keeping fans on their toes until the very end.
