Exciting news is on the Pokemon GO horizon with a special feature in the upcoming Community Day. Enjoy plenty of bonuses, a Special Research, and enter raid battles for a chance to catch the star of the event. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Community Day.

Pokemon GO: Sewaddle Community Day

The upcoming Pokemon GO: Sewaddle Community Day will run on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. During this time, you'll get the chance to encounter and catch one of the cutest Pokemon, as well as enjoy sweet rewards and event bonuses.

Featured Pokemon

For the duration of the event, Sewaddle will appear more frequently in the wild. If you're lucky, you might even get the chance to encounter a Shiny one. Sewaddle is a Bug and Grass type Pokémon that is boosted by Sunny and Rainy weather.

Evolution

Sewaddle ⇒ Swadloon: 25 Candy
Swadloon ⇒ Leavanny: 100 Candy

Featured Attack

If you evolve Swadloon during the event or up to five hours afterward, you'll get a Leavanny that knows the Fast Attack Shadow Claw.

Trainer Battles: 9 Power
Gyms: 6 Power
Raids: 6 Power

Event Bonuses

2x Candy for catching Pokemon.
1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event.
2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.*
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*

*While most bonuses are only active during the three-hour event period, these will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Four-Star Raid Battles

Swadloon will appear in four-star raids! You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these Raid Battles.

Four-Star Raid Battle Bonus

Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Swadloon, additional Sewaddle will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Sewaddle that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during October Community Day’s three-hour event period.

Bonus Raid Battles After Community Day

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, you will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Sewaddle to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

Field Research

October Community Day–themed Field Research will be available! Catch 3 Sewaddle to earn the following rewards:

5x Great Balls
2x Ultra Balls
2x Pinap Berry
2x Golden Razz Berry
500x Stardust

An Ultra Community Day Box will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store during the event for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This web store deal will be available starting September 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. PDT, three days before the ticket is available in the in-game shop! Here are the featured rewards:

Community Ambassadors receive support from Niantic to run Pokémon GO events for their communities. If there are no Community Ambassadors near you, you can also search Campfire and find other meetups in your area.
