Power Stops are temporary locations that are marked with a purple X and a timer on your map. Unlike Gyms or Pokestops, they will disappear once their timer runs out. Fret not—new ones reappear every several days, and they don't replace existing Gyms or Pokestops.

Pass by Power Stops to collect Max Particles (MP) and join Max Battles to earn Dynamax Pokemon and other various rewards.

  • Earn 100 MP per Power Stop
  • More Power Stops reached per day = more MP earned per day
  • Max Battles cost a varying amount of MP depending on the Pokemon featured

Max Particles, now appearing throughout the world, are mysterious energy found concentrated at Power Spots, enabling Dynamax Pokémon to transform. You need this in-game resource to join the Max Battles and level up your Dynamax Pokemon.

You have a limit of 1000 max particles you can obtain throughout the day. You can also get more MP by completing the “To the Max!” Special Research or buying a Max Particle bundle from the store.

There are two ways to earn max particles:

  • By interacting with Power Stops (100 MP per stop),
  • By walking and claiming them from the Nearby menu (Rewards vary)
