Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 End: Who Killed Kissy Missy?

Kissy Missy is a fan-favorite character from Poppy Playtime who teamed up with us and Poppy to defeat the Prototype. Her friendly demeanor and kind personality endeared her to everyone since her first appearance in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2.

Sadly, in Chapter 3, we were haunted by Kissy Missy's agonizing screams, leading us to believe she was killed(although we hope this is not the case). Furthermore, we were unable to catch a glimpse of her attacker, leaving her fate a mystery after the game's conclusion. However, we suspect that the Prototype is the one responsible for her demise.

Why the Prototype Killed Kissy Missy

The Prototype is the primary suspect in Kissy Missy's attack, as he has multiple reasons to harm her. Firstly, it is evident that the Prototype has been monitoring our actions, as he appeared immediately after we injured CatNap. Additionally, 1006 is known to eliminate those who oppose him, as seen with DogDay and when he trapped Poppy before we freed her.

At the conclusion of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, we become separated from Kissy Missy, leaving her vulnerable. The Prototype may have seized this opportunity to target her while she was alone. Given our limited allies in the game, it would be plausible for him to attempt to reduce our numbers. Moreover, he could potentially utilize Kissy Missy's body to build himself up, as he has done with other characters.

However, we must acknowledge the biggest flaw in this theory: the Prototype's inherent weakness. He lacks the strength to execute his plans independently, relying on Huggy Wuggy, CatNap, and Mommy Long Legs to attack us. This suggests that he is unable to defeat any of the toys in direct combat, merely taking possession of their bodies after we defeat them.

Something that might change that is the fact that the Prototype now has CatNap's body in his possession as well. What if he has already integrated CatNap's body parts, making him stronger? This possibility raises the stakes for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, potentially making the Prototype an even greater threat.
