The production team of The Recruit finally announced the official release date for Season 2, and after roughly two years of waiting, we're all excited to see how the story will develop, especially considering the thrilling cliffhanger of Season 1 that came out in 2022. Owen, the smart CIA lawyer, is back, and he's ready to handle every challenge. Or is he?
Our favorite protagonist will embark on a new journey connected to South Korea's spy trade, and thankfully, he won't be alone; the Korean intelligence agent known as Jang Kyun will accompany him and even bring some humor into the daunting affairs they get themselves into. Let's take a look at what we know so far about The Recruit Season 2.

The Recruit Season 2 Release Date
The Recruit Season 2 is officially scheduled to be released on January 30, 2025. Well, yes, it's after the Christmas holidays when we don't have as much time to sit on the couch and watch TV, but judging by the first Season, The Recruit is worth watching even at our busiest moments. The executive producer, Alexi Hawley, gave us a short comment about what we can expect to see on the screen in January.
Owen knows that if he does not walk away with a win this season, his career is going to be over. He might go to prison. Depending on what people are into, they can show up this season for the big, flashy, splashy action stuff, but they can also be on a journey with this guy who’s just trying to fix something that he broke.
Alexi Hawley, Executive Producer
The show was shot in Vancouver, Canada, but the cast had to occasionally fly to Seoul, South Korea, for the other part of the footage. Overall, the team spent approximately one month in Korea, and everyone on the production team expressed strong satisfaction with the authenticity of the shots. According to Hawley, there's no way one can fake being in the streets of Seoul.
