Blizzard Entertainment is looking to rectify the massive blunder that was Warcraft III Reforged back on January 28, 2020. To the disappointment of many long-time Warcraft fans, the remaster offered a terribly buggy experience, which not only lacked features that were in the original title but also merged the game clients into the new iteration of the beloved RTS.

After years of feedback and criticism, it seems Blizzard is looking to apologize to its player base by introducing the massive 2.0 patch that looks to not only visually enhance the game's old graphics, but also offer overhauls to the environments and lighting and also revamps the user interface.

In addition, we are uprezzing all classic Warcraft III assets to HD. You can now customize the type of assets you want to play with and even mix and match if you like. We've also included a bunch of quality-of-life changes, such as in-game hotkey customization, a revamped ladder, and much, much more.

The patch is now live for all players who have Warcraft III reforged so make sure to check out all of the QoL updates to the game.

Is Warcraft III Reforged Saved?

Although this is a step in the right direction, there is still a lot more Blizzard has to make up for, given the intense uproar from the Warcraft community. Not only was the iconic RTS' legacy tarnished by what seemed like an easy cash grab, but many players felt betrayed that many of the features that were promised were missing during the initial launch.

Not only was there a massive refund wave stemming from the player base, but more and more fans of the franchise felt like Blizzard Entertainment was going down the drain, despite previously being hailed one of the best gaming companies during its glory days of delivering finished and fun games into the hands of players.

Hopefully, more is to come, and the community slowly starts developing its trust toward Blizzard Entertainment, and with the hype surrounding the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct stream, the company might be on track to restoring faith in its customers.
