Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, which not only grabbed the attention of fans for its brutal hack-n-slash combat but also provided a very fun experience to boot.

With enhanced visuals, improved combat, and enemy AI, players will be delighted to decimate massive waves of Tyranid whilst also making use of extremely strong and responsive weapons, classes, and unique abilities all resulting in an awesome time either solo or with friends. Having that in mind, we will take a look at the designated PvP mode in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 fosters an incredibly fun and engaging campaign and PvE mode that will leave you addicted to blasting through countless waves of Tyranids trying to overtake planets. Whether through fire, bullets, or pure force, the game has got you covered on all fronts.

However, there is also a dedicated multiplayer 6v6 PvP mode for players daring to test their skills against other Space Marines. To unlock PvP, you will need to complete the Rain of Terror campaign mission (the tutorial for the game) so you can board the Battle Barge

After that, you will need to complete the Skyfire campaign mission, and go through a couple of objectives until you get the Battle Map side mission so can gain access to the Eternal War PvP Mode.

The PvP mode consists of a team-based 6v6 player experience that gives you the option to play as either the Adeptus Astartes, Space Marines who serve the Imperium of Man, or the Heretic Astartes, traitorous Space Marines who have chosen to serve Chaos instead.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 PvP features three different game types called Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture & Control. Each of the modes has a different objective you need to complete so you can be victorious:

  •  Annihilation (Team Deathmatch): Two teams are pinned against each other as you will need to secure 50 points to win the match. Each takedown provides 1 point, so have fun blasting.
  • Seize Ground (Domination): Two teams battle to take control of a zone objective that moves throughout the course of the match, earning you team points. Whichever team scores the necessary amount of points wins.
  • Capture & Control (King of the Hill): Similar to Seize Ground, this mode will require you to keep track of 3 different zones on the map. You score points by gaining and keeping control of a zone, and your team wins once you get the needed amount of points.

Keep in mind that the multiplayer mode will limit you from using perks and weapon upgrades obtained from the co-op Operations Mode to ensure that the game remains balanced, however, you will still be able to show off your awesome armor and weapon cosmetics.

We do not have full confirmation of all of the maps that will be available for PvP at launch, but once September 9, 2024 rolls around, you will get to experience the incredibly satisfying 6v6 multiplayer PvP mode as you blast at your enemies. If you are dying to get your hands on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, you can pre-order it and try it out for yourselves! And that covers everything you need to know about the PvP mode in the newest Warhammer 40K title.
