When a character is incapacitated in Operations or Campaign mode, they will receive a Mortal Wound. This means that you have run out of Health and you need someone to revive you. You'll be able to recognize the Mortal Wound by the skull symbol on the top left corner next to your Health bar.

If you have a Mortal Wound and you become incapacitated again, you'll be killed, and your teammates will have to keep going until a checkpoint or wait for you to respawn. However, keep in mind that when you come back to life, you will have lost half of your Health and all items, apart from Armory Data.

You can cure Mortal Wounds by using the Guardian Relic. If you don't have any of these items in your inventory, you simply need to explore the map. Guardian Relics appear at random spots in Operations and Campaign mode. The second method to heal a Mortal Wound is to coordinate with the team so everyone can be killed by a Tyranid or a Chaos enemy.

That way you will all respawn at the next checkpoint without the Mortal Wound holding you back. Have fun and good luck on your next adventure! For more information about Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, you can check out this article.
