Increased Level Cap
One of the biggest shifts happening during Phase 2 is the increased level cap, allowing players to explore some of the most iconic zones in World of Warcraft history. The level cap will be raised from 25 to 40, creating even more opportunities for players to develop new and interesting builds for their characters.
Zones such as Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Highlands, and the Badlands will be instantly populated by players aiming to reach the max level. This will also create new PvP opportunities scattered around the world.

Additional Talent Points
With the level cap increasing from 25 to 40, players will finally be able to spend more talent points to their characters. Level 25 was not high enough for build diversity to be significantly affected by talent choices, but now, with an additional 15 levels, all classes in the game will feel much more complete.
This, combined with the new runes and items that will be available, will create even more opportunities for players to theorycraft some unique builds.

New Runes & Abilities
The big selling point of Season of Discovery has always been the new runes, allowing players to gain new abilities and passives that might entirely change the way their class works. Things that were never seen before, such as a Warlock Tank and a Healer Mage, are now made possible and are among the biggest reasons for the project's success.
Phase 2 is set to bring even more runes to the table, and while we don't have information on them as of now, judging by how impactful some were in Phase 1, we expect a lot of interesting and class-defining perks.

New PvP Zone Event: Stranglethorn Vale
The Ashenvale PvP zone in Phase 1 was a huge success, getting players to try out all of their new runes and items on a large-scale battlefield against the enemy faction. Phase 2 promises to deliver more of the same, with the new PvP zone being in the iconic Stranglethorn Vale. It's no surprise that this was the chosen zone for Blizzard, as Stranglethorn Vale was already being remarked as the 'Vietnam' of World of Warcraft.
Information on the exact details of the PvP event have not been shared yet, but we hope it is enticing enough that players get to experience one of the premiere PvP zones of the game's history.

New Raid: Gnomeregan
Phase 1 for PvE players culminated in the reimagined Blackfathom Deeps, which was once a regular dungeon but was turned into a 10-man raid for Season of Discovery. It's already been announced that the big Raid for Phase 2 is going to be one of the most iconic dungeons in World of Warcraft - Gnomeregan. This dungeon is an excellent choice, as players who experienced it in the old days already compared it to a Raid because of its dense layout and the numerous bosses available to fight. This Raid will also come with its own set of exciting items for players to chase, offering different bonuses and effects to further strengthen your characters.
That is everything you need to know about the new content coming to Phase 2 of Season of Discovery. Phase 2 is set to launch on the 8th of February, and we hope to see it be as big of a success as the previous stage. Stay tuned for more World of Warcraft Season of Discovery news and guides as we prepare to venture once more into Phase 2!
