World of Warcraft Season of Discovery has found tremendous success as players were quick to traverse Azeroth again but with new runes and items. One of the most prominent features of SoD was the new Ashenvale PvP Event that had both factions fight each other in open-world PvP as a means of earning reputation with either the Warsong Outriders or Silverwing Sentinels.
However, this event was quickly deemed rather lackluster as there were many jarring issues either preventing players from actively participating to new strategies developing around zerg rushing objectives resulting in little to no PvP in the first place.
Although Blizzard was quick to deploy hotfixes, it seems that the event overall was not as well received, possibly alluding to a rushed release that prevented players from fully enjoying the PvP aspects of the event which in turn led to a min-maxing strategy to obtain as much reputation as quickly as possible.

WoW SoD Phase 2 Stranglethorn Vale PvP Event
Currently, there is no official information released yet by the Season of Discovery devs, however a recent tweet by the WoW Classic Senior Game Producer, Josh Greenfield confirmed that they have learned a lot from The Battle for Ashenvale PvP event and the Stranglethorn Vale PvP Event will be completely different.
Although some players are rather hesitant to have Stranglethorn Vale as the primary PvP zone a lot of progress can be made there in terms of leveling up as the area itself is very densely populated with difficult-to-complete quests.
Overall, we are yet to see any more interesting details around the new PvP Event but one thing is certain, there will be tons of bloodshed and dying characters as both factions ferociously try to survive another day in the jungle of utter chaos and slaughter Phase 2 of Season of Discovery.
