Mythic+ has been a very contested topic among the players of World of Warcraft The War Within. Whether you would look at the rewards for completing keys (which has now been fixed for the better) or the new affixes and death timers, Blizzard is no stranger to the complaints of the community.
Regardless, it seems that the dev team is looking to improve the Mythic+ experience to make it more rewarding and not as frustrating. With that in mind, we will go over everything we know so far about the new possible affix coming in Season 2 of The War Within.

Xal'atath's Bargain: Pulsar
Officially, we know that the new Xal’atath’s Bargain: Pulsar will be replacing the Xal’atath’s Bargain: Oblivion one in Season 2 of The War Within. You can check out the full patch notes, here.
New Affix: Xal’atath’s Bargain: Pulsar – While in combat, Xal’atath summons pulsars that orbit players. Replaces Xal’atath’s Bargain: Oblivion in Season 2.
This is a welcome change given how frustrating it was for players to deal with Xal'atath's Bargain: Oblivion, especially during boss fights or the buggy interactions of orbs not even spawning for players to actually reach them. This led to quite the stir, prompting the player base to consistently provide feedback to the team as well as further demonize how terrible the Mythic+ experience is in Season 1.

Regardless, Wowhead was able to data mine some important details for the new affix that will be replacing Oblivion. Void Pulsar seems to be very similar to Thundering from Season 1 of Dragonflight, albeit much better in terms of the design philosophy.
Basically, the orbs will now orbit each player, allowing for your allies to soak them instead of the mobs. We can assume that each player will have one orb, given the buff the affix provides, however, we do not know how fast each orb will travel so hopefully melee players are not entirely doomed when having to deal with this mechanic. It is interesting to see how groups will manage this new affix, given how it is ideal to have a nice split of melee and ranged players to avoid frantically running around to soak the orbs in time.
Hopefully it plays out well once Season 2 drops, but until then, it seems that Blizzard is open to feedback from the players to make Mythic+ fun, challenging and rewarding.
