How to Unlock 6-star Selector
To unlock the 6-star Echomancer Selector, you must summon 30 times. Once you’ve summoned 30 times, you can navigate to the 6-star selector window on the bottom left of the Spirit Dive system to open the selector menu. If you are not yet at the 30 pull mark, you can always check your progress by going to the Spirit Dive and looking at the bottom left corner to see how many pulls you have left until you can claim your free 6-star character.

Receiving a free 6-star Echomancer is a great way to help players start out their journey in Ash Echoes. That being said, it can also come to bite you if you don’t pick the right character, as you might end up lagging behind the players who’ve picked the best characters. Explanation
Mo Hongxiu
Mo Hongxiu is arguably the best tank in all of Ash Echoes. She is a powerful defense unit that excels at creating Barries to stop enemies from getting to you while also being able to create Fire Zones to help trigger various reactions. She is a great pick if you’re lacking a solid tank and is also one of the two characters needed for the Fire Team core.
Lorelle
Lorelle is another great pick due to being able to function both as a tank and a damage dealer thanks to her Corrosion element and corrosion accumulation. She can be used in various teams due to her ability to function both as a dedicated tank and a sub-dps unit. That being said, she is also the rate-up character for the standard banner, so you might want to hold off on getting her if you’re planning on pulling.
Cyros
Cyros is arguably one of the best DPS characters in the game right now, while also being one of the two Fire Element characters that form the core of the Fire Team. He is able to deal a ton of AoE damage while also having some great Fire Zone generation potential, making him a great pick for any beginner. We highly recommend picking up Cyros because even if you do happen to get a dupe of him in the future, you can activate his Seed 1, which instantly gives him access to his Seed Skill.

Luke
Luke is another great pick from the 6-star selector, but only if you’re planning on pulling for Cen Ying. Being a Physical character and a summoner, Luke is one of the characters that fit best into the core of the Summoner team. Additionally, his Taunt and Barries make him quite versatile, being able to be placed on other teams as well.
Longqing
Longqing is one of the best 6-star characters that any beginner can pick up due to her amazing healing potential. She is arguably the best healer in the game and still maintains her place as one of the top characters even on the CN servers. Although she is unlikely to help you out in the early game due to her being a support and not a DPS such as Cyros, for example, she will without a doubt carry you through the later stages of the game.
While all five of these characters are a great pick, you can improve your selector experience even more if you first wait to get the free random 6-star character that you can obtain from the Phase Quests by reaching Phase 6. Once you obtain that random character, you can think about who to claim from the free selector so that you don’t end up getting accidental dupes!
