Welcome to our tier list for the best Necromancer endgame builds for Diablo 4 Season 3. The new season is set to bring a ton of new content, from the new Seneschal Companion that will open up new build possibilities for all classes, to new endgame activities such as the Arcane Tremors, Vaults, and Malphas boss fight. If you are looking to take a Necromancer all the way to the end of the game, these builds are going to be your best bet for a smooth and engaging experience.
The placements on this tier list are purely based on how effective these builds are in World Tier 3 and 4 content. The amount of damage they can do, how tanky they are, as well as how fast they can clear all of the endgame content, including high-tier Nightmare Dungeons and Uber Bosses is how we are going to be comparing them going forward. Here is our list for the best endgame Necromancer builds for Season of the Construct.

C Tier Necromancer Builds For Diablo 4 Season 3
While the Summoner Necromancer is not really competitive with most builds on this list, we felt like we had to include it just because of how important it is as a class archetype. Summoning builds in Diablo 4 are vastly underpowered, with most minions not scaling enough into the lategame to survive hits or deal enough damage. The Summoner Necromancer build can definitely do mid-tier content with some proper gear investment, but it will quickly be outperformed by most of the other builds. Still, if you are looking for a low maintenance build that can absolutely participate in 99% of the content available in the game, the Summoner Necromancer build will be perfect for you!

AFK Playstyle | Minion AI is Janky |
Decent ST Damage | Low Damage |
Fun & Easy To Play | Doesn't Scale Well |

B Tier Necromancer Builds For Diablo 4 Season 3
One of the more versatile builds available to the Necromancer is Blood Lance. This build allows you to fire a small projectile that deals massive damage to everything it goes through. The build has not received any significant changes in Season 3, and we don't expect the swap from Vampiric Powers to the Seneschal Companion to be too big of a difference. Blood Lance truly shines while clearing packs of minions, as the ability places a debuff on anyone it hits, linking them together and damaging them every time the skill hits an enemy. The build lacks focused single-target damage and will not perform the best against some of the stronger bosses in the game, but if you are looking for a strong and satisfying build to run dungeons with, Blood Lance might just be for you!
- Nightmare Dungeons: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Bossing:⭐⭐⭐
- Speed Clearing:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros | Cons |
Great AoE Damage | Gear Dependent |
Very Tanky | Mediocre ST Damage |

The Sever Necromancer is one of the coolest looking builds in the game. With the Summoner build being suboptimal, Sever is truly the 'Army of the Dead' experience players have been looking for. The way it works is you send undead spectres that swipe their scythes in a huge AoE explosion that wipes the floor with all of your enemies. This is one of the better starter builds for the season, as it does not really require any specific items for it to be effective and it also provides you with a lot of chase items for the future, which can end up scaling the build enough to clear all of the endgame content with ease. If you are looking for a good build that you can take from the start of the game all the way through the hardest content available, Sever might be your build for Season 3!
- Nightmare Dungeons: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Bossing:⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Speed Clearing:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros | Cons |
Great AoE Clear | Low Mobility |
Not Gear Dependent | Requires Positioning |
Can Transition Easily |

A Tier Necromancer Builds For Diablo 4 Season 3
The Infinimist Necromancer is one of the best builds in the game for purely pushing higher-level Nightmare Dungeons. This build uses a combination of Blood Mist, Corpse Explosion, and Decrepify to do massive AoE damage to your enemies. Infinimist was already quite popular in Season 2, and the latest patch has not made any significant changes to the build, meaning it will remain as one of the most fun experiences for running dungeons. The build does lack single-target damage and can struggle against bosses, but you will be able to offset that weakness with the new Seneschal Companion available in Season 3. If you are looking for one of the best builds for running high-tier Nightmare Dungeons, as well as blasting through open-world content, consider trying out the Infinimist Necromancer!
- Nightmare Dungeons: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Bossing:⭐⭐⭐
- Speed Clearing:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros | Cons |
Very Mobile | Low ST Damage |
Very Tanky | Cooldown Dependent |
Great AoE Damage |

Very similar to the Infinimist build, we have another contender for the best build that is able to quickly run and farm through Nightmare Dungeons - the Blood Surge Necromancer. The difference between the two builds is mostly a trade between resource generation and survivability. Where the Infinimist Necromancer shines with little to no Essence issues, the Blood Surge variant provides you with the tankiest Necromancer build in the game. The build got nerfed a small amount with the new Overpower changes, but that is not significant enough to change its placement on this tier list.
- Nightmare Dungeons: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Bossing:⭐⭐⭐
- Speed Clearing:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros | Cons |
Very Mobile | Low ST Damage |
Insanely Tanky | Resource Starved |
