After months of anticipation, Diablo 4 Season 4 is here, marking a new beginning for the game with a full rework of the entire itemization system that was in place since the release of the game. Loot is becoming a lot more exciting, and that is not all, as there are many updates and new additions to the other existing systems in the game, including Helltides, the Pit of Artificers dungeon, and a brand new Uber Andariel boss fight.

With the addition of the new Andariel fight, Uber Duriel is no longer the only way to obtain Uber Unique items in the game, but he will still continue to be a crucial part of the endgame as the two bosses require different resources in order to summon them. In this article, we will provide you with a full step-by-step guide on how you can summon Uber Duriel as well as the full list of items that can drop from him.

Uber Duriel Location & Summon Requirements

The location of Uber Duriel's boss arena can be found within the Gaping Crevasse dungeon in the Southern Expanse zone of Kehjistan. The closest waypoint can be found in the city of Gea Kul, which is just west of the dungeon entrance. Once you enter the dungeon, you will find a few packs of enemies right before entering the boss arena, which contains the summoning altar.

In order to summon Uber Duriel, you are going to need two different resources, which will come from other endgame bosses:

Since these resources require a lot of Helltide and Whispers of the Dead farming, we highly recommend finding a group on Discord or any of the other Diablo 4 communities, as it will greatly increase the number of Uber Duriel kills you can do per hour.

How to Summon Tormented Duriel

Tormented Duriel is a level 200 version of the original boss fight, making him much more difficult to defeat but also much more rewarding. You can summon the tormented version of Duriel through the same altar in his arena, but you are going to need three times as many materials, as well as 2 Stygian Stones. Stygian Stones can be found by completing the new Pit of Artificers endgame dungeon at higher levels. Here are the materials needed in order to summon Tormented Duriel:

Each time you defeat Tormented Duriel you are going to receive 5 times the amount of loot, and for your first victory over him you are also going to be rewarded with a Resplendent Spark, which can be used to craft Uber Unique items, such as the Harlequin Crest.
