The brand new battle royale Plunderstorm event has caught many players by surprise as Blizzard has created a brand new experience that is not typical for World oF Warcraft fans. 

We will be going through all of the steps you need to take to queue up and play Plunderstorm as Blizzard has made the event available to all players with an active World of Warcraft subscription. You will need to download the Dragonflight client to be able to access the Plunderstorm event.

How to Play the WoW Plunderstorm Event

You will have to install World of Warcraft Dragonflight to access and play the World of Warcraft Plunderstorm event. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Battle.net App
  2. Login with your Battle.net Account
  3. Click on Games
  4. Click on World of Warcraft (Not World of Warcraft: Classic!)
  5. Click Install at the bottom left of your screen

Once you have installed World of Warcraft Dragonflight, make sure to follow these steps:

  1. Select Plunderstorm from the World of Warcraft game menu to get into the action.
  2. Create a new, ready-to-play character—player characters are unique to this event. You don't need previous knowledge of races and classes to chart your course for mayhem.
  3. Choose between Solo or—to play with your Battle.net friends—make a group from the Plunderstorm character screen and select Duo. If queued for a Duo without a partner, you'll be automatically matched with one. You can also access chat, customize characters, and see the queue from the Character Select Screen.
