This will be the first stage of the EMEA Masters as 32 teams will be split into four randomly drawn single-elimination brackets (regional protection will be ensured to avoid clashes). The first two rounds will have best-of-three (Bo3) matches, whilst the final round (Round 3), will consist of best-of-fives (Bo5).

The second stage of the EMEA Masters tournament will feature the top 4 teams from the LCQ as well as the other 28 teams that automatically qualified for the Swiss Stage. Teams will need to secure 4 wins in order to secure Playoffs, however, 4 losses will result in direct elimination.
The majority of the Swiss Stage will consist of best-of-ones (Bo1) until teams reach qualification/elimination matches where the format will change to Bo3. A total of 16 teams will be able to advance to Playoffs for a chance to win it all.

2024 EMEA Masters Summer Split Slot Distribution

To ensure each region is fairly represented and the best league performers are suitably rewarded for their consistency, we’ve updated the way we distribute slots for each region.
A whopping 60 teams will compete in the EMEA Masters this summer so we will certainly have a lot of banger series on our hands.
Accredited ERLs will be rewarded with six slots each, with their three highest ranked teams qualifying into the Swiss Stage and the remaining three teams qualifying for the LCQ. Meanwhile, all non-accredited ERLs will qualify four teams into the competition. The number of teams from non-accredited ERLs qualifying into the Swiss Stage and the LCQ stage, will depend on the respective ERLs performance at recent EM events.
And that covers everything you need to know about the recent format changes to the League of Legends 2024 EMEA Masters tournament. We simply cannot wait to see how the players will perform and whether some of them are able to stand out and become ratified LEC players in the near future.
