Metaphor: ReFantazio - Gallica Bond & Ranks

From the very beginning of your adventures through Metaphor: ReFantazio, there will be one character who will serve as your loyal companion no matter what dangerous task you've taken up, and this is Gallica. She can wield Fae Sight, which allows her to detect enemies and treasures.

Moreover, she makes everything easier for you by marking their locations on the map. However, before being able to enjoy all these benefits in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you need to unlock Gallica and rank up your Bond with her as much as you can.

Metaphor: ReFantazio All Followers & How To Unlock Them

The best part about each one of the 14 Followers available in Metaphor: ReFantazio is that they all have a unique storyline that you can discover by simply speaking to them. Moreover, in most cases, this is also the way to level up your Bond and win some awesome rewards.

However, before trying to get into the more advanced options, you need to figure out how to unlock these NPCs so they can become your Followers. Here's a full list of all characters, their Passive Skills, and how to gain access to them.

 

Gallica

• Unlock Method: Defeat Captain Klinger in Nord Mines
• Passive Skill: Recovers MP on every enemy stun/defeat

 

Strohl

• Unlock Method: Fight Klinger in Nord Mines
• Passive Skill: Hits won't trigger a battle with enemy advantage

 

Hulkenberg

• Unlock Method: Fight a boss in the Mausoleum
• Passive Skill: Increased chance of reflecting enemy attacks

 

Heismay

• Unlock Method: Fight Heismay twice in the Giant Sandworm's nest
• Passive Skill: Allows you to steal an item from a stunned/defeated enemy

 

Junah

• Unlock Method: Complete the Save the Mourning Snakes side quest
• Passive Skill: Recovers MP and HP after an enemy is stunned/defeated

 

Eupha

• Unlock Method: Complete the Trial of Malnova side quest
• Passive Skill: Attacks won't trigger enemy advantage during Squad Battles

 

Basilio

• Unlock Method: Speak to Basilio on the Gauntlet Runner
• Passive Skill: Hits won't trigger enemy advantage during Squad Battles. Recovers HP in overload battles

 

Neuras

• Unlock Method: Complete the Providing a Spark side quest
• Passive Skill: Recovers HP on each enemy stun/defeat during overworld combat

 

Maria

• Unlock Method: Spend time with Maria at the Honeybee Inn
• Passive Skill: Recovers HP on every support attack hit in overworld combat

 

Catherina

• Unlock Method: Complete the A Friend In Need side quest
• Passive Skill: Stuns stronger enemies in overworld combat easily

 

Alonzo

• Unlock Method: Complete the A Dagger, a Ring, and a Rake side quest
• Passive Skill: Grants a chance to execute auto-dodge in overworld combat

 

Bardon

• Unlock Method: Complete the Apprehend the Real Kidnapper quest
• Passive Skill: Stuns enemies with support attacks in overworld combat

 

Brigitta

• Unlock Method: Complete the A Bullish Embargo side quest
• Passive Skill: Chance to earn a small amount of money on each enemy stun or defeat

 

More

• Unlock Method: Fight the Homo Gorelo boss
• Passive Skill: Increased chance of support attacks from squad members in overworld combat

Metaphor: ReFantazio How To Unlock Gallica

Since you meet Gallica so early in the game, it makes sense why she's so easy to unlock. Once you defeat Captain Klinger, who's located in the Nord Mines on 06/06, you'll suddenly be transported to More's Akademeia. That's where you'll see Gallica for the first time, and after talking to More for a while, you'll have the opportunity to interact with her as well.

She'll express her trust in your powers, and the conversation will enhance your connection so much that she'll immediately become your Follower. Gallica is very different from the rest of the NPCs because your answers during your conversations don't matter. The Bond will be increased no matter which option you select, and you'll just get to enjoy one of the most amazing stories in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Metaphor: ReFantazio Gallica Bond Rewards

As with every other character in Metaphor: ReFantazio, Gallica has 8 Ranks that you need to go through if you want to reach the maximum level of your Bond with her. Moreover, every milestone you reach will bring you one or two rewards.

Keep in mind that the benefits include but are not limited to Archetypes, discounts, and Skill boosters. Now it's time to take a look at every reward you can expect to receive from leveling up your Bond with Gallica.

Mage Archetype

• The party can now study the Mage Archetype.

Mage Enlightenment

• Reduces MAG cost of studying Mage lineage.

Follower's Echoes

• The voices of Followers can now be heard, even from far away.

Mage Archetype Adept

• The party can now study the Wizard.

Monsterology Scholar

• Enemy analysis in Squad Battle is now more detailed.

Scion's Skill

• Increases skill inheritance slots for the Mage Lineage to 2.

Fae Sight Acuity

• Fae Sight now yields more detail while inside a dungeon.

Mage Veneration

• Significantly reduces MAG cost of studying the Mage Lineage.

Scion's Merit

• Increase skill inheritance for the Mage Lineage to 3.

Scion's Essence

• Increases skill inheritance slots for the Mage Lineage to 4.

Mage Archetype Elite

• The party can now study the Elemental Master and Warlock.

Victory Foresight

• During Squad Battles, you may gain extra Turn Icons.
