Yes, you read the title right, an ilvl 639 ring will be up for grabs in the next patch. Given the vast amount of new content players will be getting with 11.0.7, Blizzard will also be adding a powerful new ring, similar to the Onyx Annulet from the Dragon Isles expansion Forbidden Reach update.
Although some players have already expressed their criticism towards the devs for their somewhat lazy rehash of gameplay and content from a previous expansion, we might see a couple of nice surprises. Having that in mind, we will go over everything we know so far about the new item coming to World of Warcraft The War Within.

WoW TWW 11.0.7 New Ring
Let's cut to the chase and examine the new ring players will be able to obtain on the brand new Siren Isle zone. Cyrce's Circlet is a part of the introduction questline for the Siren Isle, meaning you will have access to the item from the get-go. The ring has three special sockets allowing you to place gems that either enhance your stats or even activate your teammate's gems. Each slot can hold one type of gem:
-
Singing Thunder Citrine
-
Singing Sea Citrine
-
Singing Wind Citrine
There are four different types of gems per socket, meaning that players will get to experiment with up to 12 different gems to maximize their effectiveness.
Thunder Gems
- Storm Sewer's Citrine
- Roaring War-Queen's Citrine
- Stormbringer's Runed Citrine
- Thunderlord's Crackling Citrine
Sea Gems
- Mariner's Hallowed Citrine
- Seabed Leviathan's Citrine
- Fathomdweller's Runed Citrine
- Undersea Overseer's Citrine
Wind Gems
- Old Salt's Bardic Citrine
- Legendary Skipper's Citrine
- Windsinger's Runed Citrine
- Squall Sailor's Citrine

Another interesting change of pace for WoW is that gems will be obtained through quests and events, instead of relying on RNG like the ring in The Forgotten Reach. There will also be three Major Excavations (factions):
- Shuddering Hollow (Earthen)
- The Drain (Goblins)
- The Drowned Lair (Arathi)
Upon filling up their respective bars, you will be granted a gem. Some players speculate that the gems will be time-gated, given the fixed sources for them.
It also seems that the ring will be upgradeable up to ilvl 639, as you get it at ilvl 619 with a weekly quest allowing you to upgrade Cyrce's Circlet to the max ilvl. And that covers everything we know thus far about the new powerful ring coming to World of Warcraft The War Within 11.0.7.
