Ash Echoes is the newest gacha game on the market, and apart from its unique combat style and system where you don’t actually have to level up your characters, it shares a lot of similarities with other gacha games on the market. That is precisely why it also has the same pitfalls that you can fall into and greatly slow down your progression. To help you avoid falling into those traps, we’ll be sharing some of our beginner tips and tricks to get your Ash Echoes account started and ready to challenge even the hardest content!

Tip 1: Focus on the Story
The first tip that we have for you is to focus on completing Ash Echoes’ main story campaign. The main campaign offers a ton of resources that can help speed up your journey, and it showers you with premium currency if you decide you wish to pull on one of the current banners. Focusing on the story is also the best way to increase your account level, which is directly tied to the max level cap of your Memory Traces, so it is essential that you spend your energy on the main story rather than any other mode right now.

Tip 2: Don’t overcap on Action Points
Our second tip is to try not to overcap on energy, or Action Points as they’re known in Ash Echoes. Each main story stage requires you to spend Action Points to complete. At the start, you will be showered with Action Points from various sources, but it is important to try and keep your Action Points below their maximum limit. That is because Action Points regenerate with time, but if you’re above the maximum amount, they will regenerate at a much slower rate. If you wish to progress your account as fast as possible, it’s important to try and always keep your Action Points below their maximum.
Tip 3: Do not claim your free 6-star character right away
Our third tip is not to claim the free 6-star character selector that you get when you do 30 pulls on any of the banners. We know it may be very tempting to get your free 6-star character right away, but there are also risks involved with picking them up early. For example, if you pick up your character right after you do 30 pulls, you risk getting a dupe of that character later on when you actually pull a 6-star Echomancer or get the free random 6-star Echomancer from the Phase Quests. This is why we recommend first waiting until you get your random 6-star Echomancer after completing the Phase 6 Quests.

Tip 4: Do your Dailies
Dailies are an essential part of any gacha game, and that is also true for Ash Echoes. The dailies in Ash Echoes give you a ton of account EXP while also giving you close to 1 pull per day, so they are definitely worth doing to maximize your progress with the game.
Trick 1: Uncap your FPS
If you’re playing on PC, you can go to the settings and uncap your frame rate to set it from 60 FPS to Unlimited. This will make the gameplay experience smoother for you and may increase your overall enjoyment of the game.
Trick 2: Disable Skill Animations
By going to the settings, you can manually disable both the Active and Seed Skill animations for any character or make them shorter. For those rerolling or just trying to farm various stages, these changes can greatly improve your clear and reroll times as you won’t have to sit through any animations.

Trick 3: Do you daily Free Pull
If you go to the Gacha system after unlocking the Memory Trace summons, you will notice a banner at the very bottom known as [Allied Voyage]. This banner allows you to use unique summons that you can only obtain by interacting with the [Friends] feature, but aside from that, the banner also gives you 1 free pull per day. Although 1 pull is not much, it can quickly add up, so don’t forget to do it!
This covers all of the tips and tricks we have for you today. We’ll be covering more Ash Echoes content in the future as well, so be sure to check regularly!
