The ground shakes and quakes with the arrival of the new Gigantamax Pokemon from Saturday, October 26, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time! It appears that these Gigantamax Pokemon can only be defeated when enough Trainers unite as a team—reports indicate that groups of 10 to 40 Trainers are able to defeat and catch these formidable Power Spot Bosses. One thing is clear: these are the biggest challenges in Pokemon GO yet.

Gigantamax Debuts

The following Pokemon will make their Pokemon GO Gigantamax debut in six-star Max Battles!

Gigantamax Battles

The exclusive Gigantamax Battles work similarly to Dynamax Battles, but we've highlighted some tips and tricks you might appreciate a refresher on:

You can find Gigantamax Pokemon at Power Stops, and you need to team up with up to 39 trainers to take them down.
The teams can be split into groups of four or fewer, but the more Trainers participate, the higher the chance to take down the Gigantamax Pokemon.
You can only defeat Gigantamax Pokemon with other Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon.
Use Candy and Max Particles to level up your Gigantamax Pokemon and have them learn their three Max Moves.
