You'll come across the Coin Puzzle in Wood Side Apartments, but before you try to solve it, you will need three coins that are scattered around for you to find. It's most convenient to obtain them first, and then get back to the puzzle location. Here is a guide on where to find each coin, and how to solve the puzzle in Light, Standard, and Hard mode.

How to Find The Man/Sword Coin

Find Room 108, inside locate the cabinet containing the Golden Apple Handle, and take the handle. To open the cabinet, turn the hand so it faces down.
Go to Room 208 and find an identical cabinet, open it so you get access to Room 206.
The safe containing the Man/Sword is in Room 206.
To open the safe, you need to enter the correct code sequence, depending on which mode you're playing the game in.
Once you enter the code correctly, the safe will unlock, and you'll be able to get the Man/Sword coin and a Steel Key to leave the room.

Light: 15 - 11 - 13
Standard: 13 - 7 - 11
Hard: 13 - 7 - 11

How to Find The Woman/Grave Coin

Go to Room 312 and find the gap in the wall on the west side of the room.
Crawl through it and you'll get to the laundry room.
Find the Canned Juice item and throw it down the trash chute to dislodge the Woman/Grave coin stuck inside.
Go to the eastern Chute Courtyard area on 1F, in between Room 112 and Room 105, and find the coin in the middle of it.

How to Find The Flower/Snake Coin

Go to Room 116, the same room you meet Eddie in for the first time. You'll have access to the area after clearing the chute and going down the northern stairs on 3F.
Go through the room and jump from the window into the pool area.
The coin is inside the red pram. It's recommended to avoid combat to save up on health items and ammo, so try and get it without fighting the enemies.

How to Solve The Coin Puzzle

Go to the room behind the Receptionist Area on 1F in Wood Side Apartments to start the challenge. You'll be given a series of three riddles to solve by placing a coin in one of the five slots. Place them with the correct face-up and in the correct slot to solve the puzzle.

The solution for each depends on the level of difficulty you're playing the game on. The poems will differ too.

Light

Man - X - Woman - X - Flower
Sword - X - Woman - X - Snake
Snake - X - Grave - X - Man
Put the Snake coin on the top, sixth slot.

Standard

Man - X - Woman - X - Flower
X - Sword - X - Woman - Flower
X - X - Man - Grave - Snake
Put the Snake coin on the top, sixth slot.

Hard

Man - X - X - Grave - Snake
Grave - Sword - Flower - X - X
X - Man - Woman - X - Snake
Put the Snake coin on the top, sixth slot.

Note: X = empty slot.

Puzzle Reward

As a reward for completing the Coin Puzzle, you'll get the key to Room 201, which is where you'll gain access to the next important location on your journey—the Blue Creek Apartments. Make your way to Room 201, unlock it using the key, and go inside.
