Where to Find All Maister's Teachings in Dragon's Dogma 2

During your playthrough of Dragon's Dogma 2, you will at some point be searching for the Maister's Teachings regardless of your preferred vocation. You will find the ultimate skills for each class hidden throughout Vermund and Battahl.

You might come across a few of them as you progress in the main story and explore the world. However, you will find most of the Maister's Teachings by completing side-quests or talking to specific NPCs.

What Are Maister's Teachings in Dragon's Dogma 2?

Maister's Teachings are unique tomes located across the map in Dragon's Dogma 2. Each one will grant you the most powerful skill possible for each vocation. You need to find the masters of every class and earn their respect before they deem you worthy of learning these ultimate skills. 

There is no required vocation level to use the Maister's Teachings. As long as you have found the necessary tomes, you will be able to switch between classes and perform powerful abilities. 

Fighter Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

To find the Maister's Teachings for the Fighter vocation, you will need to talk with Lennart. As you complete a series of side-quests for Captain Brant in Vernworth, you will have to return to Melve and deal with a second dragon attack. This will begin the Readvent of Calamity quest. 

Lennart is one of the main characters in this mission. After you have helped him ensure Ulrika is safe, return to the soldier and talk with him again. He will deem you worthy and give you the Soldier's Code tome, granting you the skill Riotous Fury. If for some reason you have missed the Readvent of Calamity quest, you can increase Lennart's affinity by giving him gifts. 

Archer Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

When you are in Vernworth, you will likely meet an elf called Glyndwr. He is standing by the armorer and you need to provide him with a bow. Any bow will do. Glyndwr is not picky. He will ask for some help learning to use the weapon. Do as he asks and complete the Gift of the Bow quest and continue Glyndwr's story with the next mission A Trial Of Archery.

The questline in Dragon's Dogma 2 will take you to the Sacred Arbor village and you will meet Taliesin, Glyndwr's father. Be sure to take along a Pawn that has the Woodland Wordsmith specialization. After the quest is over, talk with Taliesin again and he will give you the Hunter's Secret tome. This will grant you the Heavenly Shot ability. 

Thief Maister's Teachings Locations in Dragon's Dogma 2

There are two Maister's Teachings for the thief's vocation. One is a fake and causes more damage to your character than you deal to the enemy. You pick up the Legend’s Opus tome in the Nameless Village.

Talk with Flaude and he will introduce himself as a master thief. This is a lie and we do not recommend using the skill he teaches you. The Blades of the Pyre is a useless ability that sets you and your Pawns on fire. 

The real Maister's Teachings belongs to Srail, the actual master thief. To find him, you will need to progress in the Nameless Village quest and enter the tunnels beneath the manor. You will find the Thieves Guild and Srail will give you the Pilferer’s Handbook tome, granting you the Formless Feint skill. 

Mage and Sorcerer Maister's Teachings Locations in Dragon's Dogma 2

To obtain the Maister's Teachings for the Mage and Sorcerer, you will need to find grimoires for Trysha in the Spellbound quest. You can start this mission in the village of Melve. Head to Eini's house and talk to the young girl called Trysha. When you have found all spellbooks and brought them back to the aspiring mage, make sure you return after a few days to earn the real reward.

Trysha will give you the Sorcerer's Maister's Teachings called the Conjurer's Jottings, granting the Meteoron spell. Her grandmother, Eini, will present you with the Enchanter's Almanac tome, unlocking the Mage's ultimate ability called Celestial Paean.

Warrior Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

To find the Warrior's ultimate skill, you will need to head to the Checkpoint Rest Town and talk with the beastren called Beren. He will have a few quests you need to work through to prove yourself worthy. After you have completed Claw Them Into Shape and Beren's Final Lesson, find Beren at his childhood house to the south of the Checkpoint Rest Town. 

If you manage to beat him in the duel, the master Warrior will respect you enough to give you the Champion’s Fable tome. If Beren defeats you, you will need to give him some gifts to boost his affinity before you can learn the Arc of Might ability. 

Mystic Spearhand Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

You can find the Maister's Teachings for the Mystic Spearhand vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2 by tracking down Sigurd and helping him with a little dragon problem. You can find him at Dragonsbreath Tower in the southwest corner of Battahl. This is also one of the chances to unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation so if you missed Sigurd earlier in the game, make sure to find him at the tower. 

He will ask for your assistance in hunting a dragon nearby. Do as he asks and after that, talk to him again. He will give you the Paladin’s Enigmata tome, granting you the Wild Furie skill. If you miss your chance to talk to him after killing the dragon, you can find him at his house in Harve Village. 

Magick Archer Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

When you unlock the Magick Archer vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2, you will automatically have the ultimate skill, Martyr’s Bolt, available. If Cliodhna doesn't give you the Spellbow's Paradox tome straight away, talk to her again.

Trickster Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

To learn Dragon’s Delusion, the ultimate skill, you will have to talk to Luz again after she teaches you the Trickster vocation. You can find her at the Reverent Shrine. To obtain the Maister's Teachings, you must head to the shrine's roof by climbing the ladder and you will see Luz in her physical form. She will give you the Theurgist’s Rite tome. 

Wayfarer Maister's Teachings Location in Dragon's Dogma 2

When you unlock the Wayfarer vocation, talk to Lamond again and he will give you the Grandmaster’s Path tome. This will grant you the Rearmament ultimate skill. The three bottles of Newt Liquor should be enough to make Lamond like you. Getting someone drunk apparently makes you worthy of learning the Maister's Teachings.
