In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you can find the mysterious Protorelics across the whole world. In each region, you will find Phenomenon Intel missions in your search for the elusive Gilgamesh.
These Protorelic missions have you chasing bandits across the grasslands, fighting an insane number of Cactuar, pitting robots against a giant Flan, and more. Each region has a four-step questline, in which upon completion you will obtain a Protorelic.

What Are Protorelics in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
The Protorelics resemble pieces of armor. They are a big part of the side content in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Often you will earn a Protorelic by completing a minor storyline in the game.
Sometimes the Protorelic is in pieces and you need to find them all to reassemble it. Other times you need to track it down or figure out who has it before you can collect it. There are six Protorelics in total. The seventh Phenomenon Intel mission involves taking the armor to Gilgamesh to earn his respect.
Let’s go through each region and what you will need to do to obtain these prized Protorelics.

FF7 Rebirth: Grasslands Protorelic Location
The first region you can fully explore is where you start your journey of collecting Protorelics in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. You can begin the Phenomenon Intel missions at the edge of the region, to the northwest of the Grasslands.
You will have to chase Beck’s Badasses across the map because they refuse to give the Protorelic up without a fight. This questline is the easiest in the collection of Phenomenon Intel missions.

FF7 Rebirth: Junon Protorelic Location
To obtain the Protorelic in the Junon region, you will need to dive into the mini-game known as Fort Condor. Essentially a tower-defense game in the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will be able to see Cloud and his gang fight monsters in their retro skins.
Not the easiest mini-game to complete but it's worth the few hours getting used to if it means you walk away with another Protorelic.

FF7 Rebirth: Corel Protorelic Location
As soon as you get to the Corel region you can begin the search for the Protorelic but unfortunately, the journey will pause after the second Phenomenon Intel mission. You will have to return when you reach a certain point in Chapter 12 to complete the missions and obtain the Protorelic.
This questline will have you using Cactuar Statues to locate Cactuar Rocks and then playing a mini-game called Cactuar Crush. You will need to get used to defeating a lot of Cactuars of all colors and sizes.
You can learn more by looking at our guide to the Corel Phenomenon Intel missions.

FF7 Rebirth: Gongaga Protorelic Location
Obtaining the Protorelic in the Gongaga region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will involve running through the jungle searching for four separate combat simulators to prove your worth to the Turks.
You will need to get your hands on the Jungle Chocobo, Fango, before you try and tackle these quests. The hardest part of these quests is getting to each area through the heavy vegetation.

FF7 Rebirth: Cosmo Canyon Protorelic Location
You will need to jump into another mini-game called Gears and Gambits to find the Protorelic in the Cosmo Canyon region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. If you like sending robots to destroy monsters, then this will be the mini-game for you. It can be seriously overcomplicated if you overwhelm yourself with the different robots, gambits, and loadouts but it doesn’t need to be.

FF7 Rebirth: Nibel Protorelic Location
In Nibelheim, your biggest challenge in the Phenomenon Intel missions involves your patience as you follow cloaked figures around as they moan constantly and slowly lead you to Protorelic pieces. It is an interesting questline but you will find yourself trying to nudge them to go faster throughout the missions.
To find each piece of the Protorelic, you will have to locate the robed individuals across the region and defend them from monsters in all four Phenomenon Intel missions. Not the hardest in terms of difficulty but you will need to set aside some time to complete this questline.

FF7 Rebirth: Meridian Ocean Protorelic Location
While the Phenomenon Intel Missions in the Meridian Ocean region will not reward you with another Protorelic, it is where the questline ends. To access these missions, you need to collect all other Protorelics and all Summons available in the game. This doesn’t include the bonus Summons you can obtain from pre-ordering the game. You will also need all Summons to be at full strength so make sure you have found all the Summon Shrines.
You will fight your Summons and challenge Gilgamesh at full strength to complete the Phenomenon Intel missions in the Meridian Ocean region. These are some of the hardest battles in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth so we recommend you are at level 70 before you attempt to tackle these bosses.
Here is our full guide on the Meridian Ocean Phenomenon Intel missions.
There you have it, if you follow our guides and complete the Phenomenon Intel missions in each region you will find yourself with the legendary Summon, Gilgamesh. The long questline can be tedious at times, but the overall reward is worth it. I hope this helps.
